AI credits
AI credits
Credits pay for AI work in the Cockpit: every run of an agent in the Operations Center, and Larry Copilot once his included allowance is used up. An organization has one balance for all its projects. Credits are prepaid: nothing is billed afterwards.
- One credit is worth one euro cent at list price (net).
- What a credit buys depends on the model that does the work. A model's price in credits is the provider's list price in US dollars times 300 credits per US dollar.
- You never see tokens. You see the credits an analysis is estimated to cost before it starts, and what it cost after it ran.
Where credits come from
| Source | Credits | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| Plan credits, with every license assigned to a project, each month | Solo 500, Plus 1,000, Growth 5,000, Pro 15,000 | At the end of that month |
| Starter credits, once, with a paid €1 month | 100 | At the end of the €1 month |
| Purchased credits: AI Credits S, M, L or Custom | See Buying credits | Never |
Plan credits arrive at the start of the organization's month, one grant per license on a project, so two Plus licenses bring 2,000 credits a month. Plan credits that are not used by the end of the month are gone; purchased credits are not touched by that.
When something is paid in credits, plan credits are used first, then purchased credits, the oldest first.
Enterprise brings no plan credits and buys none: see Enterprise runs on its own keys.
Buying credits
Credits are bought as one-time packs:
| Pack | Credits | Price (net) |
|---|---|---|
| AI Credits S | 5,000 | 49 EUR |
| AI Credits M | 21,000 | 190 EUR |
| AI Credits L | 58,000 | 490 EUR |
| AI Credits Custom | By agreement | On request, invoiced by Laioutr |
Open Billing & Usage in your organization and choose Buy credits on the AI credits card. Pick a pack: the invoice is shown first, with its lines, VAT and total. Confirming sends it and opens Stripe's invoice page, where you pay by card or by bank transfer, as your organization's way of paying allows. The credits arrive once the invoice is paid, not when it is sent.
Open Billing & Usage in the Cockpit
Buying credits is for whoever manages the organization's billing. A partner's people working in a client organization cannot buy credits there.
What costs credits
| Costs credits | Costs nothing |
|---|---|
| Every agent run: an analysis, a test run, a fix, Measure now | Adding an agent, setting it up, pausing or removing it |
| The small estimate an agent makes before each step of its run (it can be switched off, see below) | Agents and skills themselves |
| Larry Copilot beyond the included allowance, where an Owner allowed it | Larry Copilot within the allowance |
| Larry Copilot on a premium model, always | Laioutr's support agents |
| Translation by Translatr, which counts against its own package | |
| A run that is reset because the balance or a credit limit could not cover it |
How an agent run is paid
- Before a run starts, the Cockpit shows its estimate: the median of the agent's last runs, or its per-run limit while it has not run yet. Only your confirmation starts it.
- The run holds a little more than its estimate from the balance while it works. Credits held by running work are shown on the AI credits card, and cannot be spent twice.
- Before each step, a small estimate says what the step will likely use, and the run holds more where it needs it.
- A finished run is charged once, in whole credits, for what it used. What it held beyond that goes back to the balance.
What happens when a run does not finish:
- The balance or a credit limit cannot cover the next step: the run is reset. Nothing it found or proposed is kept, nothing is charged, and the Owners are told. Buy credits or raise the limit, then start it again.
- The agent reaches its own credit limit, per run or per month: the run ends before the step that would pass it. Nothing it found is kept; what it used is charged, never more than the limit.
- It fails, or someone stops it: nothing it found is kept; what it used is charged.
Estimate each step before it runs is on by default. An Owner can switch it off in the organization's Settings, under Agents. Switched off, a run works only with what it held before it started and can fail mid-way: the task is not done, the credits it used are not given back, and what it found is discarded.
Limits on spending
- Credit limit per agent: an optional cap per run and per month, set by an Owner on the agent's set-up page. Each kind of agent also has a limit of its own it never goes above.
- Credits per member, set by an Owner on AI Usage:
- a monthly limit on what each member may spend from the organization's credits;
- a member without a limit spends from what the limits leave;
- Split the rest evenly shares what is not given among all members;
- limits renew with the month.
When prices change
The credit keeps its euro value; only what a credit buys can change. When a provider raises a model's price, or Laioutr raises its prices, the new price applies 14 days after it is announced, and everyone in the organization is told through the Cockpit's notifications. A lower price applies at once.
Balance and usage
| Where | What it shows | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| Billing & Usage -> AI credits | The balance, how much of it is plan credits and when they end, credits held by running work, what was used this month, the latest packs, plan credits and Starter credits, and Buy credits | Whoever manages billing |
| AI Usage (organization menu, after Billing & Usage) | The balance, credits used this month by agents and by Larry Copilot, Larry Copilot's allowance, which keys agents run on, the usage statement per agent with Export CSV, and Credits per member | Owners |
| Organization Overview | A card with this month's AI usage | Owners |
The month on these pages is the calendar month in Germany.
AI Usage
AI Usage is in the organization menu, after Billing & Usage. Only Owners see it.
- Credit balance: prepaid, for all projects.
- Credits used this month: by agents and by Larry Copilot.
- Larry Copilot allowance: this 6-hour window and this month, and when it renews.
- Keys: which keys agents run on.
- Usage statement: by agent and how it was paid, this month, with Export CSV.
- Included in your license: the support agents, and Larry Copilot up to its allowance. They cost you nothing.
- Credits per member: a monthly limit per member, see Limits on spending.
Enterprise runs on its own keys
An organization with an Enterprise license runs Larry Copilot and its agents on its own provider keys.
Where to add them:
- An Owner adds them under AI Usage -> Your keys: one per provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini).
- Test checks a key with the provider.
- A key is stored encrypted and shown only by its last four characters. Never paste a key into a chat.
What changes:
- The provider bills the organization directly. No credits are used.
- No plan or Starter credits, and no packs to buy.
- Usage is still shown on AI Usage.
- An Owner chooses each agent's model on its set-up page, from the models the keys reach. Every other organization sees the model Laioutr chose.
- Without a key that can run him, Larry says that an Owner adds one under AI Usage. An agent run without a key is not started.
- A key the provider refuses fails the run, and the Owners are told. A run never falls back to credits.
